The Sea-Dweller DeepSea (diameter 43 mm), is undoubtedly the most important new timepiece introduced by Rolex at Baselworld 2008.
The guaranteed waterproof reaches 3,900 meters thanks to an innovative system, patented by Rolex, namely the Ringlock System.
Practically, the waterproofing improves from 1,220 meters (4,000 feet) of the ref. 16600, to the current 3,900 (12,800 feet): the depth rating is greatly increased, even tripled.
